Walk with clients who want to build up their fitness. Walking can be done on the weekend and during the week in cooler parts of the day. The clients want to build up their fitness and increase from 30 minutes gentle walking to about an hour at a more challenging pace for them eventually and walk twice a week.
The time of day will change as the seasons change.
Skills and Attributes
A reasonable fitness level for walking, friendly and a good conversationalist as you will be walking with happy social people. You are able to commit to at least12 months so clients can achieve some success!!
Online orientations, and guiding training with a Mobility Trainer so that you are skilled and confident to assist as a Volunteer Walker.
You will need Blue, Yellow cards and a Fit2Work Police Check that the local Coordinator of Volunteers will support you with.
Good walking shoes, comfortable clothing, sun protection.
