This year’s NSS book ‘Bowerbird Blues’
Aura Parker is an award-winning illustrator, writer and designer. Her picture books are joyful with a playful sense of humour, brimming with details to explore. Aura Parker’s storytelling though words and pictures inspires imagination, courage and confidence in young readers as well as a love, curiosity and passion for nature.
Who is it for
The Vision Australia Library’s interactive, online sensory storytime and braille reading of ‘Bowerbird Blues’ for National Simultaneous Storytime will be held over zoom by staff from Vision Australia and is aimed at children aged 3 to 7 and their parent/carers. This session is designed to be accessible for people living with blindness or low vision. It will engage children and include reference to braille and collected tactile objects
Registration is open to Vision Australia clients aged 10 and under and Vision Australia clients with young children. Members of the public with young children are welcome to register. Kindergartens are also welcome to attend.

Please collect blue coloured objects such as pegs, bottle caps, bread tags, buttons, flowers, string, ribbon, pencils, shells, lego, feathers, bits of fabric – even blueberries – so you can be part of the tactile experience of this story session.
