This year is shaping up to be the year that accessibility and inclusion become a fundamental part of government and commercial services.
To help organisations embed accessibility into their online delivery practices, the W3C has updated three core resources to help you get started:
- Planning and Managing Web Accessibility to integrate accessibility throughout the web production process.
- Developing Organizational Policies on Web Accessibility to develop a simple or comprehensive web accessibility policy for an organisation.
- Web Accessibility First Aid: Approaches for Interim Repairs to help with the common situation, "I need to make my website accessible and I don’t even know where to start", while providing guidance on addressing short-term accessibility fixes.
Vision Australia is a long-standing member of the W3C and has made a significant contribution to the development of WCAG 2.0 and approaches to user-based evaluations.
Please contact us if we can assist you on your journey to accessibility and inclusion or if you would like to understand how we have helped other organisations approach this change.
