The 2020 Queensland Election is set to take place on 31 October. With 75,000 Queenslanders representing the blind and low vision community, together, our voice is strong.

The Queensland Government has already committed to a disability employment target of 8% by 2022. Now is the time to lead the nation and ensure that commitment becomes a reality.

Ongoing library funding

he Vision Australia library opens up a whole world of information to people who are blind or have low vision. Vision Australia calls on the Queensland Government to provide ongoing yearly funding to ensure this critical service can remain operational.

Transport

Review and extend the Taxi User's Subsidy Scheme subsidy fare to $60 and include other ride sharing options to ensure equal right of access.
