Talking Vision: Post Election wrap up, what does it mean for the blindness community?
Thu, 09 Sep 2010
'Talking Vision' is Vision Australia's national radio program on blindness and low vision.
The program of 06 September 2010 reviews the participation of the blindness sector in the campaign leading to the Federal Election and looks ahead to activity on what has become a vastly different political stage.
Returning from the pre-election Talking Vision discussion, to speak with Stephen Jolley are:
- Maryanne Diamond, President of the World Blind Union and Vision Australia General Manager International and Stakeholder Relations; and
- Robyn Gaile, Executive Officer of Blind Citizens Australia.
Also in the program, barely off the plane from New York, Professor Ron McCallum, Vision Australia Deputy Chair, talks to listeners upon his re-election to the United Nations Committee Monitoring the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability.
Finally this week, Frances Keyland from the Vision Australia Library returns to preview titles in 'Reader Recommended'.
